Anniversary of Notorious BIG death, March 9, 1997 (video)

15 years ago on this day the Hip Hop industry lost one of its greatest rising young stars. Christopher Wallace known in the Rap community as Notorious BIG was gunned down after leaving an event in Southern California.

This took place during the rise of the East Coast West Coast rivalry which turn from fun and games into lives being lost. During this beef within 2 years the world lost rapper Tupac and a few months later BIG as well.

Although this beef has died down over the years it clearly shows us the power of words and music. An unfortunate lost but hopefully a lesson learned in the Hip Hop community as well as those who listen to the music.

RIP to Christopher Wallace, the great BIG.
